Engineer – Power Farming Hawkes Bay (Hastings)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our Hastings branch. This is a hands-on role where you will provide engineering support to our service department and directly to customers, delivering reliable, innovative, and practical solutions.

About the role:

As an Engineer, you will:

  • Service, repair and overhaul agricultural components
  • Provide engineering solutions by designing and implementing cost-effective, reliable outcomes
  • Carry out testing and ensure all work meets industry best practice and safety standards
  • Support the service team and liaise directly with customers and suppliers
  • Complete all required administration and maintain accurate records
  • Travel to customer sites as required
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety procedures and WorkSafe NZ requirements

About you:

  • Trade qualified in Mechanical Engineering and/or Fitting & Turning
  • Strong welding capability (certification preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar engineering environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Solid administration and record-keeping skills
  • Current full driver’s licence

Experience in the agricultural industry or additional engineering qualifications will be advantageous.
