Senior Service Technician
Senior Service Technician - Morrinsville
Want to work for New Zealand’s leading agriculture distributor and supplier? We are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Service Technician to join our Morrinsville team.
We’re looking for someone who knows tractors and agricultural machinery, is comfortable working independently in the field, and has the experience to tackle the more challenging jobs. For the right person, we’re prepared to pay top of market.
We can offer you:
- Top of market pay for the right person, including paid overtime at time and a half, weekly tool allowance and on-call fees.
- Late model service vehicle, tools and phone to get the job done.
- Long Service Leave and Company buying privileges.
- Free access to confidential counselling and coaching through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Why you will enjoy working here:
- The Team - You’ll be joining a busy, close-knit Morrinsville service team. It’s a great crew that backs each other, shares knowledge and has a bit of fun along the way.
- Leading Brands - You’ll work on some of the best gear in the business, including JCB, McHale, Väderstad, Deutz-Fahr, Kioti and Kverneland machinery.
- Growth & Development - Ongoing manufacturer and factory training will keep you up to date with the latest machinery, technology and diagnostic systems.
- Variety - No two days are the same. You’ll be servicing, diagnosing and repairing tractors and agricultural machinery in the workshop and, importantly, out in the field supporting our customers.
- Stability - This is a permanent full-time opportunity with an established business that has been operating in New Zealand for more than 75 years.
About you:
You’ll take real pride in your work and know your way around agricultural machinery. You’ll be self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently when you’re out on farm.
As a Senior Service Technician, you will also be someone the wider team can rely on for technical knowledge, guidance and support.
You will need:
- A qualification in heavy automotive engineering, heavy machinery or a relevant mechanical trade.
- Solid hands-on experience with tractors and agricultural machinery, ideally including significant field service experience.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a sound understanding of electronics and hydraulics.
- Confidence using diagnostic equipment, service systems and machine data to work through complex faults.
- The ability to work independently and manage customer expectations while representing Power Farming professionally.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- The experience and willingness to coach and mentor apprentice and service technicians.
- A full NZ Driver Licence, with Class 2 being an advantage.
